No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission to execute an appropriate instrument to release and nullify the right of reverter on a property located in Howard County, Texas, contingent upon certain conditions being met, no later than February 1, 2023.
The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2021.
The Health and Human Services Commission indicates any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and could be absorbed within available resources.
