Amend CSHB 4213 (house committee report) on page 1 as follows:

(1)  On line 9, strike "the rate of three [six] percent simple interest per year" and substitute "a rate per year equal to the federal funds rate published by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on the first day of the calendar year for which interest is being calculated, [the rate of six percent simple interest per year]".

(2)  On lines 14 and 15, strike "the rate of three [six] percent simple interest per year" and substitute "a rate per year equal to the federal funds rate published by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on the first day of the calendar year for which interest is being calculated, [the rate of six percent simple interest per year]".

(3)  On line 18, strike "the annual rate of three [six] percent simple interest" and substitute "a rate per year equal to the federal funds rate published by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on the first day of the calendar year for which interest is being calculated, [the annual rate of six percent simple interest]".
