A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE LARRY W. CAMERON UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE AUTO AUCTION INDUSTRY, TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS OVER FIFTY YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO DARLINGTON AND TO MONCK'S CORNER, AND TO WISH HIM MUCH HAPPINESS AND FULFILLMENT IN THE YEARS AHEAD.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Larry W. Cameron upon the occasion of his retirement from the auto auction industry on February 4, 2022; and

Whereas, Mr. Cameron was employed for thirty-seven years at Clanton's Auto Auction in Darlington and for thirteen years at Charleston Auto Auction in Monck's Corner; and

Whereas, Mr. Cameron has been a member of the Carolinas Independent Automobile Dealers Association for nearly fifty years, where he served in numerous capacities including organizer of the Scholarship Golf and Fishing Tournaments. He actively assists the association with statewide legislative efforts as a member of the legislative and governmental affairs team; and

Whereas, in 2005, Mr. Cameron was inducted into the Carolinas Independent Automobile Dealers Association Automotive Hall of Fame in recognition of his many contributions to the industry; and

Whereas, Mr. Cameron is married to Ruby R. Cameron, his wife of fifty-three years. Together, they attend Greenwood Baptist Church in Florence; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate appreciate the passion and dedication that Mr. Cameron has shown in serving the people and the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Larry W. Cameron upon the occasion of his retirement from the auto auction industry, commend him for his over fifty years of dedicated service to Darlington and to Monck's Corner, and wish him much happiness and fulfillment in the years ahead.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Larry W. Cameron.
