A SENATE RESOLUTION
TO AMEND RULE 1 OF THE RULES OF THE SENATE, RELATING TO THE TIME OF DAILY MEETING, TO PROVIDE THAT THE SENATE SHALL NOT CONVENE ON OFFICIAL STATE HOLIDAYS.
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That Rule 1 of the Rules of the Senate is amended by adding a new subsection at the end to read:
Notwithstanding any rule to the contrary, the Senate shall not convene on any day designated as an official state holiday pursuant to Section 53-5-10 of the 1976 Code."
