A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE ADMINISTRATION AND MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS OF PIEDMONT MEDICAL CENTER UPON THE OPENING OF THEIR FACILITY SERVING THE GREATER FORT MILL COMMUNITY.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the new Piedmont Medical Center began service to the Fort Mill community on September 7, 2022; and

Whereas, the first hospital to operate in Fort Mill, Piedmont Medical Center offers outstanding medical services in its facility that boasts one hundred beds spread over two hundred thousand square feet, located at the intersection of South Carolina Highway 160 and United States Highway 21; and

Whereas, supported by board-certified physicians, Piedmont Medical Center offers a full-service emergency department with twelve beds, six multispecialty operating rooms, ten labor and delivery rooms, a ten-bed ICU, and a medical/surgical unit with seventy-six beds; and

Whereas, the campus of Piedmont Medical Center includes a sixty-thousand-square-foot building for medical offices to support physicians in primary care, obstetrics, surgery, and cardiology; and

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is grateful for the quality service that Piedmont Medical Center will provide for years to come to the citizens of the Fort Mill community, and the members wish God's speed to the medical professionals serving the needs of the hospital's patients in the days ahead. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate the administration and medical professionals of Piedmont Medical Center upon the opening of their facility serving the greater Fort Mill community.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Piedmont Medical Center.
