A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND AND THANK KOLBIE HINSON OF LANCASTER COUNTY FOR HER FAITHFUL SERVICE AS A HOUSE PAGE AND TO WISH HER WELL IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives has learned that Lancaster County's Kolbie Hinson, as a student at the University of South Carolina, soon will be starting her pre-internship and therefore is leaving her post as a House page; and

Whereas, the daughter of Ben and Karin Hinson of Lancaster County and sister of Chandler, Kolbie completed her early education at Andrew Jackson High School, graduating from that institution; and

Whereas, after spending a productive freshman year at the University of South Carolina Lancaster, during which time she was employed at Gregory Health and Wellness, Kolbie transferred to the USC Columbia campus for her remaining years of college. This LIFE Scholarship student is a member of Alpha Chi Omega, for which she has served as a vice president (new-member educator); and

Whereas, Kolbie, an elementary education major, plans to continue on to graduate school after her May 2019 graduation and will study to become a special education teacher; and

Whereas, while she necessarily has spent many hours of her college career studying, Kolbie Hinson still found time to work for the South Carolina House of Representatives, where she served for a year as a most diligent page under House member Bill Bowers; and

Whereas, further, as a young woman of faith, Kolbie attends Second Baptist Church in Lancaster; and

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is grateful for the dedication to excellence in service exhibited in the lives of outstanding students like Kolbie Hinson, and the members look with interest to hear of her continued accomplishments in the days ahead. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend and thank Kolbie Hinson of Lancaster County for her faithful service as a house page and wish her well in all her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Kolbie Hinson.
