A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-330, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN JASPER COUNTY, SO AS TO ADD A PRECINCT AND TO REDESIGNATE THE MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THE NAME OF THESE PRECINCTS MAY BE FOUND AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD.

Amend Title To Conform

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 7-7-330 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 108 of 1999, is further amended to read:

"Section 7-7-330    .    (A)    In Jasper County there are the following voting precincts:

Coosawhatchie

Gillisonville

Grahamville 1

Grahamville 2

Grays

Hardeeville 1

Hardeeville 2

Levy

Okatie

Pineland

Ridgeland 1

Ridgeland 2

Ridgeland 3

Sun City

Tillman

(B)    The precinct lines defining the precincts in subsection (A) are as shown on maps filed with the clerk of court of the county and also on file with the State Election Commission as provided and maintained by the Division Office of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-5399 P-53-14.

(C)    The polling places for the precincts listed in subsection (A) must be determined by the Board of Elections and Voter Registration of Jasper County with the approval of a majority of the Jasper County Legislative Delegation."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect on July 1, 2014.
