A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR WACCAMAW INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL OF GEORGETOWN COUNTY FOR ITS COMMENDABLE STANDARDS IN EDUCATION AND TO CONGRATULATE THE STUDENTS, PARENTS, FACULTY, STAFF, AND ADMINISTRATION ON THE SCHOOL'S VARIOUS AWARDS FOR THE 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR.
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Waccamaw Intermediate School has accomplished many of its goals for the year and has received several awards in recognition of those successes; and
Whereas, Waccamaw Intermediate School received recognition as a National Blue Ribbon School and for its Georgetown County Art Awards, has a Georgetown County Teacher of the Year finalist, and received a Palmetto Gold Award for excellent academic performance. The school also won its first tee championship; and
Whereas, fully expecting continued excellence from this standout school, Representative Carl Anderson of House District 103 takes great pleasure in recognizing the fine educational achievements of Waccamaw Intermediate School for the 2016-2017 school year at the ceremony he is sponsoring in Georgetown on May 4, 2017. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Waccamaw Intermediate School of Georgetown County for its commendable standards in education and congratulate the students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration on the school's various awards for the 2016-2017 school year.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to representatives of Waccamaw Intermediate School.
