A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 5-7-157 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT ALL RIGHTS OF WAY WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF A MUNICIPALITY SHALL BELONG TO THE MUNICIPALITY FOR MANAGEMENT OF PARKING.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Chapter 7, Title 5 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

    "Section 5-7-157.    Notwithstanding another provision of law, all rights of way within the municipal boundaries of a municipality shall belong to the municipality for management of parking."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
