| A RESOLUTION |
| |
1 | Recognizing the good relationship between Pennsylvania and the |
2 | Republic of Turkey. |
3 | WHEREAS, The Republic of Turkey has the world's 15th largest |
4 | economy and Europe's sixth largest economy, is a valued trading |
5 | partner with the Commonwealth and is to be commended on its |
6 | contributions to the global economy; and |
7 | WHEREAS, The Commonwealth and the Republic of Turkey have |
8 | enjoyed a strong, vibrant and mutually beneficial economic |
9 | relationship with the prospect of further growth; and |
10 | WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the Commonwealth to |
11 | further cultivate the good relationship between Pennsylvania and |
12 | the Republic of Turkey; and |
13 | WHEREAS, It is fitting to recognize the contributions of our |
14 | nation's allies and the value of maintaining beneficial |
15 | relationships with those allies; therefore be it |
16 | RESOLVED, That the Senate recognize the longstanding |
17 | Pennsylvania-Republic of Turkey relations, build upon time- |

1 | honored friendships and promote the cultural, educational, |
2 | academic, political and economic relations between Pennsylvania |
3 | and Turkey; and be it further |
4 | RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to |
5 | the Turkish Cultural Center of Pennsylvania, 274 W Main St., |
6 | Leola, PA 17540. |
