AN ACT

Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, further providing for exemption for

3

widow.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 8902 of Title 51 of the Pennsylvania

7

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

§ 8902.  Exemption.

(c)  Exemption for widow.--The exemption provided in

11

subsection (a) shall be extended to the widow of any active duty

12

member of the United States Armed Forces who was killed in

13

action, provided that the member of the armed forces and the

14

widow owned and lived on the property prior to the member being

15

called into active service and the State Veterans' Commission

16

determines the widow is in need of the exemption.

17

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
