A RESOLUTION

Memorializing the United States Congress to make permanent the

2

Federal tax cuts that are set to expire at the end of 2010.

WHEREAS, Certain reductions in Federal taxation are set to

4

expire in 2010; and

5

WHEREAS, Taxes continue to burden the citizen taxpayers

6

throughout Pennsylvania, and allowing these tax cuts to expire

7

will increase that burden; and

8

WHEREAS, These reductions in Federal taxation are also

9

critical to the economy of the nation and this Commonwealth and

10

are vital to the welfare of the citizen taxpayers of

11

Pennsylvania; and

12

WHEREAS, It is of supreme importance that the Pennsylvania

13

House of Representatives explore ways to ensure that our citizen

14

taxpayers enjoy as much tax relief as possible, and the

15

continuation of these tax cuts will decrease the Federal tax

16

burden on Pennsylvanians; and

WHEREAS, The reductions in Federal taxation must be continued

2

and made permanent; therefore be it

3

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of Pennsylvania

4

memorialize the United States Congress to make the Federal tax

5

cuts permanent before they expire at the end of 2010; and be it

6

further

7

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to

8

the presiding officers of each chamber of Congress and to the

9

Congressional Delegation from Pennsylvania.
