A RESOLUTION

Honoring the State College Area High School Girls Track and

Field Team for winning the 2011 PIAA State Track and Field

3

Championships.

4

WHEREAS, The State College Area High School Girls Track and

5

Field Team is being honored upon capturing the Class AAA Girls'

6

Team Rankings during the 2011 PIAA State Track and Field

7

Championships; and

8

WHEREAS, The Lady Little Lions attained the team rankings

9

State title with a score of 37 points under the expert guidance

10

of Head Coach Jennifer Evans and Assistant Coaches Rebecca

11

Donaghue, Dustin Brackbill, Joe Sarra, Nabil Mark and Matt

12

Seeland; and

13

WHEREAS, The State qualifying team members were Paige Fry,

14

Carolyn Hay, Gina Torretti, Niara Valentine, Megan Bland,

15

Chandley Book, Julia Christensen, Hannah Grubb, Emma Cousins,

16

Nora Adams, Chloe Schmidt, Kathryn McNaughton, Lauren Bonness,

17

Shannon Daniels, Lauren Kenney and Molly Love; and

18

WHEREAS, The House of Representatives is always pleased to

recognize the outstanding achievements realized by the youth of

this nation in a spirit of personal sacrifice, commitment to a

3

common goal and unity of purpose; therefore be it

4

WHEREAS, That the House of Representatives heartily

5

congratulate the State College Area High School Girls Track and

Field Team upon its stellar season and championship victory,

7

acknowledge its investment of skill and effort in competing on a

8

level which demands perfection and offer best wishes for

9

continued success in all future endeavors.
