AN ACT

Amending Title 4 (Amusements) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes, penalizing conduct of corrupt organizations.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

4

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Title 4 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes

6

is amended by adding a section to read:

7

§ 1519.1.  Corrupt organizations.

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an act which is

9

indictable under this part, or a conspiracy to commit any such

10

act, shall be considered "racketeering activity" for purposes of

11

18 Pa.C.S. § 911 (relating to corrupt organizations) and shall

12

be subject to all of the provisions of 18 Pa.C.S. § 911. Any act

13

which otherwise would be considered racketeering activity under

14

18 Pa.C.S. § 911 by reason of the application of this section

15

shall not be excluded from its application solely because the

16

operative acts took place outside the jurisdiction of this

17

Commonwealth if the acts were in violation of the law of the

18

jurisdiction in which they occurred.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
