AN ACT

Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An

2

act relating to the public school system, including certain

3

provisions applicable as well to private and parochial

4

schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the

5

laws relating thereto," in charter schools, further providing

6

for facilities.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

8

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 1722-A of the act of March 10, 1949

10

(P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is

11

amended by adding a subsection to read:

Section 1722-A.  Facilities.--* * *

13

(e)  The charter school facility shall not be located in a

14

building that is within three hundred (300) feet of a place that

15

has a liquor license. This subsection shall not apply to a

16

charter school facility in existence and operating on the

17

effective date of this subsection.

18

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
