| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, in ethics standards and financial |
3 | disclosure, further providing for definitions. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. The definition of "public official" in section |
7 | 1102 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is |
8 | amended to read: |
9 | § 1102. Definitions. |
10 | The following words and phrases when used in this chapter |
11 | shall have, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the |
12 | meanings given to them in this section: |

14 | "Public official." Any person elected by the public or |
15 | elected or appointed by a governmental body or an appointed |
16 | official in the executive, legislative or judicial branch of |
17 | this Commonwealth or any political subdivision thereof, provided |
18 | that it shall not include members of advisory boards that have |

1 | no authority to expend public funds other than reimbursement for |
2 | personal expense or to otherwise exercise the power of the State |
3 | or any political subdivision thereof. The term shall include |
4 | full-time or part-time solicitor for a political subdivision. |
