AN ACT
Designating the bridge in the Borough of Hatboro (now designated
as Bridge Management I.D. No. 46/0263/0050/0057) over
Pennypack Creek as the PFC Joseph J. Lannon, Jr., USMC
Memorial Bridge.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. PFC Joseph J. Lannon, Jr., USMC Memorial Bridge.
(a) Declaration of policy.--The General Assembly finds and
declares that PFC Joseph J. Lannon, Jr., USMC, made the ultimate
sacrifice for his country on October 1, 1968, while serving in
the United States Marine Corps, when he was killed in action in
Quang Nam, Vietnam.
(b) Designation.--The bridge [over] (bridge management I.D. <--
No. 46/263/0050/0057) spanning Pennypack Creek on South York <--
Road (State Route 263) in the Borough of Hatboro [shall be], <--
Montgomery County, is hereby designated as the PFC Joseph J.
Lannon, Jr., USMC Memorial Bridge.
(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall place and
maintain appropriate signs at both ends of the bridge designated
in subsection (b).
Section 2. Effective date.
This act shall take effect in 60 days.
