AN ACT

Making an appropriation to The Children's Institute, Pittsburgh,

for treatment and rehabilitation of certain persons with

3

disabling diseases.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  The sum of $861,000 is hereby appropriated to The

7

Children's Institute, Pittsburgh, for the fiscal year July 1,

8

2009, to June 30, 2010, for the treatment and rehabilitation of

9

children and young adults with disabling diseases. Payment of

10

this appropriation shall be made by the Secretary of Health in

11

equal quarterly payments.

Section 2.  The Children's Institute shall provide full,

13

complete and accurate information as may be required by the

14

Department of Health or the chairman or the minority chairman of

15

the Appropriations Committee of the Senate or the chairman or

16

the minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the

17

House of Representatives.

18

Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2009, or

19

immediately, whichever is later.
