AN ACT

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes, further defining "street rod."

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

4

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  The definition of "street rod" in section 102 of

6

Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to

7

read:

§ 102.  Definitions.

9

Subject to additional definitions contained in subsequent

10

provisions of this title which are applicable to specific

11

provisions of this title, the following words and phrases when

12

used in this title shall have, unless the context clearly

13

indicates otherwise, the meanings given to them in this section:

"Street rod."  A motor vehicle, or a reproduction thereof,

16

with a model year [of 1948 or older] that is 40 or more years

17

old which has been materially altered or modified by the

removal, addition or substitution of essential parts and with a

2

gross weight or registered gross weight of not more than 9,000

3

pounds.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
