AN ACT

Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania

Consolidated Statutes, in abortion, further providing for

3

prohibited acts.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 3213 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania

7

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

§ 3213.  Prohibited acts.

(g)  Clinical privileges.--Any physician performing or

11

inducing an abortion who does not have clinical privileges at a

12

hospital which offers obstetrical or gynecological care located

13

within 30 miles of the location at which the abortion is

14

performed or induced shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a

15

misdemeanor in the third degree and shall be punished as

16

provided by law.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
