| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for person with disability plate |
3 | and placard. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 1338(c) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania |
7 | Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read: |
8 | § 1338. Person with disability plate and placard. |

10 | (c) Health care provider's statement.-- |
11 | * * * |
12 | (1.1) A statement certified by a physician, podiatrist, |
13 | chiropractor, physician assistant or certified registered |
14 | nurse practitioner should include a tear-off placard at the |
15 | bottom of the statement. The tear-off placard, upon signature |
16 | by the health care provider, may be used as a temporary |
17 | placard for persons with disabilities for no more than 30 |

1 | days or until the applicant receives a special plate or |
2 | parking placard for persons with disabilities from the |
3 | department, whichever comes first. A person may not receive |
4 | more than two tear-off placards from a health care provider |
5 | per temporary disability. |
