AN ACT
Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, further providing for executive
sessions.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 708(a) of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
§ 708. Executive sessions.
(a) Purpose.--An agency may hold an executive session for
one or more of the following reasons:

(7) To review and discuss plans related to school
security and emergency preparedness, including the physical
security of buildings, staff training, communication
procedures, plans for evacuation, lockdown or other safety
measures, coordination with police, fire and other safety
agencies or other safety activities that if disclosed would
be reasonably likely to jeopardize or threaten school
security or preparedness.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
