  Directs Oregon Criminal Justice Commission to modify sentencing
guidelines grid.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to sentencing; creating new provisions; and amending ORS
  163.168.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1. ORS 163.168 is amended to read:
  163.168. The Oregon Criminal Justice Commission shall classify
assault in the third degree that is committed under the
circumstances described in ORS 163.165 (2)(b) as crime category
  { - 8 - }   { + 7 + } of the sentencing guidelines grid of the
commission.
  SECTION 2.  { + The amendments to ORS 163.168 by section 1 of
this 2013 Act apply to crimes committed on or after the effective
date of this 2013 Act. + }
