Appropriates moneys to Oregon Department of Administrative
Services for payment to Investing in Boardman's Healthy Future
Capital Campaign.
Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2011.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to funding for nonprofit health care provider in
Boardman, Oregon; appropriating money; and declaring an
emergency.
Whereas Columbia River Community Health Services, a Boardman,
Oregon, nonprofit organization, provides high-quality health care
and occupational services to one of Oregon's fastest growing
communities; and
Whereas Columbia River Community Health Services has
experienced a 240-percent increase in growth; and
Whereas Columbia River Community Health Services hosted 12,000
patient visits in a community of 3,310 residents in 2009; and
Whereas the Investing in Boardman's Healthy Future Capital
Campaign has raised 81 percent of the funding needed to break
ground on a new facility through pledges, grants and in-kind
revenue and has actively solicited other funding as well; now,
therefore,
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + There is appropriated to the Oregon Department
of Administrative Services, for the biennium beginning July 1,
2011, out of the General Fund, the amount of $400,000 to be paid
into the Investing in Boardman's Healthy Future Capital Campaign
for the benefit of Columbia River Community Health Services. + }
SECTION 2. { + This 2011 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2011 Act takes effect July 1,
2011. + }
