                             SUMMARY

The following summary is not prepared by the sponsors of the

  Requires Oregon Health Authority to work with coordinated care
organizations and stakeholders to develop recommendations to
Legislative Assembly for advancing use of health information
technology.
  Declares emergency, effective on passage.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to health information technology; and declaring an
  emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) The Oregon Health Authority shall work with
coordinated care organizations and other stakeholders to develop
recommendations for advancing the use of health information
technology.
  (2) The authority shall report its recommendations to the
Legislative Assembly in the manner provided in ORS 192.245 no
later than January 1, 2015. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + Section 1 of this 2013 Act is repealed January
2, 2015. + }
  SECTION 3.  { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its
passage. + }
