JOINT RESOLUTION
Be It Resolved by the Legislative Assembly of the State of
Oregon:
PARAGRAPH 1. The Constitution of the State of Oregon is amended
by creating a new section 12 to be added to and made a part of
Article XV, such section to read:
{ + SECTION 12. + } { + Individuals in this state have the
right to hunt, to fish, to trap and to harvest wildlife, and to
use traditional methods to hunt, fish, trap and harvest wildlife,
subject to laws enacted by the Legislative Assembly and rules
adopted by state agencies that promote sound wildlife
conservation and management. This section may not be construed
to abrogate any public or private property rights or the
sovereignty of this state over its natural resources. + }
PARAGRAPH 2. { + The amendment proposed by this resolution
shall be submitted to the people for their approval or rejection
at the next regular general election held throughout this
state. + }
