  Repeals pilot project requiring Department of Transportation to
enter into contract for private maintenance of segment of state
highway.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to a pilot project for private maintenance of a state
  highway; repealing sections 23 and 24, chapter 865, Oregon Laws
  2009; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) Section 23, chapter 865, Oregon Laws 2009,
as amended by section 68, chapter 545, Oregon Laws 2011, is
repealed.
  (2) Section 24, chapter 865, Oregon Laws 2009, is repealed. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + This 2012 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2012 Act takes effect on its
passage. + }
