Requires State Board of Higher Education and Oregon Health and
Science University Board of Directors to report to Legislative
Assembly on acquisition, development and disposition of
intellectual property.
Sunsets January 2, 2012.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to university intellectual property.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + The State Board of Higher Education and the
Oregon Health and Science University Board of Directors shall
each submit a report to the Legislative Assembly providing
information on their rules and procedures for acquiring,
developing and disposing of intellectual property. The reports
must specifically address the method by which the universities
ensure continued beneficial access to intellectual property that
is sold or otherwise disposed of to commercial purchasers. The
reports must be submitted to the Legislative Assembly in the
manner provided by ORS 192.245 no later than October 1, 2011. + }
SECTION 2. { + Section 1 of this 2011 Act is repealed on
January 2, 2012. + }
