                             SUMMARY

The following summary is not prepared by the sponsors of the

brief statement of the essential features of the measure as
introduced.

  Requires Oregon Health Authority to compile and update database
of health data and evidence-based research that is available
online and searchable according to specified criteria.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to online health information.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) The Oregon Health Authority shall compile
and continuously update a database containing aggregate health
data and evidence-based health research on the:
  (a) Topics of age, race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation and
other factors identified by the authority; and
  (b) Impacts on health of economic factors such as poverty and
homelessness.
  (2) The database must be publicly available so that a person
can perform an Internet search by entering the factors described
in subsection (1) of this section to produce:
  (a) Search results relevant to the health issues faced by an
individual with a profile composed of the factors; and
  (b) Links to evidence-based research on related topics. + }
