                             SUMMARY

  Requires that voter registration cards be made available to
eligible persons at offices where   { - agent of - }   { + person
employed by + } State Fish and Wildlife Commission issues

procedures under which persons can apply for or renew license,
tag or permit and register to vote. - }

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to voter registration.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 2 of this 2011 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS chapter 247. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + (1) The State Fish and Wildlife Commission
shall make registration cards available at any office in which a
person employed by the commission issues or renews licenses, tags
or permits.
  (2) The employee of the commission shall inform a person who is
at least 18 years of age and applies for issuance or renewal of a
license, tag or permit from the commission that the applicant may
register to vote at the office.
  (3) The commission shall deliver, in a timely manner, the
completed registration cards to the county clerk of the county in
which the office is located. The county clerk of the county in
which the office is located shall forward the registration cards
to the county clerk of the county in which the applicant resides.
The county clerk of the county in which the applicant resides may
reject any registration card in accordance with ORS 247.174. The
Secretary of State shall determine by rule the time and manner in
which the completed registration cards must be delivered to the
appropriate county clerk. + }
