                             SUMMARY

The following summary is not prepared by the sponsors of the

introduced.

  Requires bills introduced before Legislative Assembly that
relate to environmental matters to have economic impact analysis.
Requires economic impact analysis to be kept by Secretary of
Senate or Chief Clerk of House of Representatives and to be
available to public.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to economic impact analysis.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) If the presiding officer of the chamber of
the Legislative Assembly in which a bill is introduced determines
that the bill relates to environmental matters, the sponsor of
the bill shall present an economic impact analysis of the bill to
the appropriate legislative committee before the committee takes
final action on the bill.
  (2) The economic impact analysis shall be kept by the Secretary
of the Senate or the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives,
depending on the chamber of the Legislative Assembly in which the
bill is introduced, and be made available to the public between
the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding
legal holidays. + }
