CHAPTER ................
AN ACT
Relating to dental health pilot projects; creating new
provisions; amending section 17, chapter 716, Oregon Laws 2011;
repealing sections 15 and 16, chapter 716, Oregon Laws 2011;
and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + Sections 15 and 16, chapter 716, Oregon Laws
2011, are repealed. + }
SECTION 2. Section 17, chapter 716, Oregon Laws 2011, is
amended to read:
{ + Sec. 17. + } The Dental Pilot Projects Fund is
established in the State Treasury, separate and distinct from the
General Fund. Interest earned by the Dental Pilot Projects Fund
shall be credited to the fund. Moneys in the fund are
continuously appropriated to the Oregon Health Authority for the
purposes of carrying out the provisions of { - sections 1 and
15 of this 2011 Act - } { + section 1, chapter 716, Oregon Laws
2011 + }.
SECTION 3. { + (1) The repeal of sections 15 and 16, chapter
716, Oregon Laws 2011, by section 1 of this 2013 Act and the
amendments to section 17, chapter 716, Oregon Laws 2011, by
section 2 of this 2013 Act become operative on January 1, 2014.
(2) The Oregon Health Authority:
(a) Shall terminate any pilot project approved under section
15, chapter 716, Oregon Laws 2011, before the operative date
specified in subsection (1) of this section; and
(b) May take any action before the operative date specified in
subsection (1) of this section that is necessary to enable the
authority to terminate a pilot project approved under section 15,
chapter 716, Oregon Laws 2011. + }
SECTION 4. { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its
passage. + }
