The following summary is not prepared by the sponsors of the

brief statement of the essential features of the measure as

  Directs Department of Revenue and Department of Human Services
to jointly develop and propose alternative means of accomplishing
public policy goals of income tax credit for child care costs of
working families and report to committee of Legislative Assembly.
  Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to public policy goals of working family tax credit; and
  prescribing an effective date.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + The Department of Revenue and the Department of
Human Services shall jointly develop and propose alternative
means of accomplishing the public policy goals of the income tax
credit for child care costs of working families allowed under ORS
315.262. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + The Department of Revenue and the Department of
Human Services shall jointly report to a legislative committee
related to revenue during the 2014 regular session of the
Seventy-seventh Legislative Assembly. The report shall include
the proposed means described in section 1 of this 2013 Act and
their costs and benefits compared with the current law. + }
  SECTION 3.  { + This 2013 Act takes effect on the 91st day
after the date on which the 2013 regular session of the
Seventy-seventh Legislative Assembly adjourns sine die. + }
