CHAPTER ................ AN ACT Relating to volunteering; and declaring an emergency. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. { + (1) The Employment Department shall: (a) Update the department's webpage to encourage volunteering and provide links to state and federal volunteering opportunities. (b) Post the following statement on the webpages of the department and the unemployment insurance division of the department: + } ________________________________________________________________ { + As you search for a job, you can make a positive difference in your life and in your community by volunteering your time and skills to help others. Volunteer work can build experience for your resume and expand your list of community employment contacts. The skill sets you use and learn in volunteer work could turn into a job offer or a career change in the future.
