| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Graham High School wrestling team on winning the 2013 Division II State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Graham High School wrestling team are excellent young athletes, and they have established themselves as a truly exceptional squad. This season, the Falcons scored 155.5 points to win the Division II State Championship, tying a state record with thirteen consecutive team titles, and for their unwavering commitment, the students and coaches are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Coach Jeff Jordan and his assistants have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Graham High School wrestling team to victory, and their skill is reflected in the squad's outstanding accomplishment. Due largely to their tireless efforts, the members have established themselves as winners, both in and out of athletic competition, and they have earned the respect and admiration of all who know them; and |
| WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the Graham High School wrestling team have learned lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the Graham High School wrestling team for exemplary achievement and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Graham High School wrestling team. |
