| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Brianna Machuga on earning the George and Helen Hartzog Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service - Youth Award by the National Parks Service; and |
| WHEREAS, A junior at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, Brianna Machuga is deserving of this prestigious award, which honors her for her exemplary community service within the Midwest region. Willingly giving of her time, abilities, and enthusiasm, she has dedicated countless hours and seemingly inexhaustible energy to various worthwhile endeavors, including the National Parks Service, the Underground Railroad, the Polar Express, the International Thespian Society Board, Spanish Club, and Students Against Drunk Drivers; and |
| WHEREAS, Known throughout the area as an exceptional young woman, Brianna Machuga has demonstrated commendable social concern and has gained the gratitude of all those who have come to know her. Indeed, her superlative record of volunteer service, peer leadership, and community spirit is the hallmark of responsible citizenship and demonstrates the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society; and |
| WHEREAS, It is through the unsurpassed efforts and unparalleled commitment of individuals such as Brianna Machuga that our state continues to grow and prosper and remains responsive to the needs of its citizens. She has earned a well-deserved reputation as a generous and civic-minded person, and she has set an example worthy of emulation; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Brianna Machuga on receiving the George and Helen Hartzog Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service - Youth Award and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Brianna Machuga. |
