| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Mansfield Christian School boys soccer team as the 2014 Division III State Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, The Mansfield Christian School boys soccer team is to be heartily commended, for the Flames overpowered a tough Grandview Heights team by a score of 4-3 to become this year's Division III State Champion. Without exception, the members prepared conscientiously in pursuit of a tremendous season, devoting countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning, and clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and |
| WHEREAS, To his credit, Coach Stephen Armstrong has guided the team with unwavering expertise and encouragement, and he merits enthusiastic praise for coaxing admirable performances out of the Flames in each competitive outing. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, the players have consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, and stamina in every challenging encounter. Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most formidable rivals; and |
| WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a host of adversaries, the members of the Mansfield Christian School boys soccer team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their success is a measure of their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and coach extremely proud; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Mansfield Christian School boys soccer team as the 2014 Division III State Champion and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
