WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Joshua Yoho on being named the 2014 Ohio Military Youth of the Year by the Ohio National Guard Family Readiness and Warrior Support Program; and |
WHEREAS, A 2011 graduate of Woodridge High School and a student at the University of Dayton, Joshua Yoho is an exceptional individual, for he has demonstrated a commendable degree of determination in meeting life's challenges. The perseverance and forbearance he has developed throughout his life have earned him the respect and admiration of all who know him. Enduring his father's many Ohio Army National Guard deployments, he has displayed leadership ability, maturity, and a capacity for diligence that should be equal to even the most difficult tasks that lie ahead; and |
WHEREAS, Joshua Yoho has served as a camper at and a volunteer with Operation: Military Kids, becoming the most senior counselor, and in many significant endeavors, he has exhibited a strong desire to fulfill his goals in the future. Without a doubt, his maturity and initiative show his potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders. Clearly, he has prevailed in the face of adversity, and his triumph has made many people extremely proud; and |
WHEREAS, Joshua Yoho's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, and his community. In his remarkable efforts, he has set a superb example for others to follow; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Joshua Yoho for outstanding achievement and salute him as a fine young Ohioan; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Joshua Yoho. |
