| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate John C. Mahaney, Jr., on receiving the J. Thomas Weyant Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Retail Federation; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which John Mahaney can be proud, for he has been acknowledged for his professional excellence in leadership, innovation, creativity, and community involvement. The president and chief executive officer of the Ohio Council of Retail Merchants, he has brought insight and exceptional ability to his important work, and we applaud him on his record of service; and |
| WHEREAS, John Mahaney's tremendous efforts have helped to guarantee a high level of success for all projects with which he has been involved. It is through the unsurpassed commitment of conscientious professionals such as he that our state continues to grow and prosper and remains responsive to the needs of its citizens; and |
| WHEREAS, John Mahaney's record of attainment demonstrates a true commitment to excellence, and his many noteworthy accomplishments clearly demonstrate the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society.
