Honoring Richland County on its Bicentennial. |
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Richland County on the auspicious occasion of its Two Hundredth Anniversary; and |
WHEREAS, This significant milestone is, indeed, a fitting time to pay tribute to Richland County. Established in 1813, the county has since experienced dramatic growth and change, and yet, even as its residents have exuberantly embraced the promise of a bright future, they have never relinquished their appreciation for the worthiest virtues of the past; and |
WHEREAS, As reflected in its colorful history, Richland County has three cities and six villages made up of citizens who are not afraid of change but who welcome it. They temper new ideas with the wisdom gained from past experiences to achieve true progress; and |
WHEREAS, Without sacrificing their sense of tradition, the people of Richland County have nurtured a fresh perspective and a positive outlook that endear this distinctive place to all who know it well. Under the guidance of its current administration, distinguished by impeccable integrity, sound judgment, and an expansive, purposeful vision, the county is sure to remain on its admirable course; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Richland County on its Bicentennial and salute all those taking part in this joyous celebration; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Richland County. |
