| Honoring Darius Ellison as the 2013 Boys and Girls Clubs of America Ohio Youth of the Year. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Darius Ellison, a senior at Ginn Academy, on being named the 2013 Ohio Youth of the Year by the Boys and Girls Clubs of America; and |
| WHEREAS, Darius Ellison has demonstrated that he is, indeed, deserving of high praise for his dedication, hard work, and leadership skills. Among his endeavors, he is a member of the Mt. Pleasant Boys and Girls Club, and through his unfaltering devotion to service and achievement, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and |
| WHEREAS, Darius Ellison's noteworthy record of accomplishment clearly demonstrates the potential of each individual to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society. It is our sincere hope that his tireless efforts will inspire other young people to dedicate themselves similarly, and we applaud him on his tremendous work; and |
| WHEREAS, Darius Ellison's unstinting contributions of time, talent, and seemingly inexhaustible energy have earned him the well-deserved appreciation of all those with whom he has associated with, and his efforts stand as the hallmark of responsible citizenship. We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of people such as Darius Ellison that Ohio continues to grow and prosper and our state remains a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Darius Ellison on his recent accolade and salute him as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
