A RESOLUTION

Honoring Eva Pate as a 2014 U.S. Figure Skating Solo Dance National Champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Eva Pate on her tremendous performance at the 2014 U.S. Figure Skating Solo Dance National Championship; and

       WHEREAS,  A freshman at Strongsville High School and a member of the Strongsville Skating Club, Eva Pate has striven to develop her skills, and consequently, she placed first in the bronze solo dance event and fourth in the juvenile solo free dance event at this year's U.S. Figure Skating Solo Dance National Championship. Amply demonstrating her ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence, she has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to produce superior results, and through her tremendous efforts, she has set an example worthy of emulation; and 

       WHEREAS,  Eva Pate's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her coach, Janet Wene, and her community. Indeed, she has exhibited a sincere desire to fully develop her talents so that she might fulfill her goals in the future, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  As evidenced by her many achievements, Eva Pate is a gifted individual who has gained much from life by living it to the fullest. Her success is truly inspirational, and she stands as model for aspiring figure skaters. We commend her for the extraordinary skill and determination she has continually displayed in all her endeavors; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Eva Pate on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Eva Pate.
