A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Mason High School girls cross country team as the 2013 Division I State Champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Mason High School girls cross country team on winning the 2013 Division I State Championship; and

       WHEREAS,  A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Mason High School girls cross country team have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, members Audrey Adkins, Rachel Albers, Megan Alcox, Erika Alva, Bethany Angstadt, Susan Awwad, Aminah Baig, Kaitlyn Baker, Bridget Barnes, Alexandra Belegrin, Emily Berquam, Victoria Blakeman, Ashleigh Boeres, Megan Boone, Elizabeth Brush, Erin Brush, Jordyn Burke, Morgan Campbell, Edy De Arco, Gina Deaton, Samantha DeGroft, Victoria Dimerling, Charlotte Doran, Erin Drake, Megan Drake, Katelyn Emter, Katherine Engler, Catherine Fadden, Leah Ford, Hailey Fortson, Madison Giessler, Meredith Haller, Ailee Henderson, Caitlin Henry, Katelyn Jo Henry, Ashley Hessin, Emillie Hoh, Sydney Jensen, Emily Ketron, McKenna Killion, Hana Kodvawala, Nicole Kraimer, Kylie Krueger, Kayla Lang, Carrie Lipps, Kelly Loehr, Brianna Manns, Katherine Martin, Annie McBeath, Kinsey McBeath, Delaney McDowell, Gabriela Medina, Carolyn Messer, Maeve Morris, Maegan Murphy, Hannah Murrin, Nia Myrie, Cassidy Peebles, Samantha Pickens, Brittany Posner, Heather Posner, Katelyn Reckers, Brooklyn Reynolds, Courtney Riffle, Allison Rodriguez, Emily Rosado, Lauren Rose, Amy Satterthwaite, Nicole Schlimm, Madeline Seiller, Madelaine Solimini, Jessica Sommerville, Rachel Stein, Nicole Steinbicker, Abbigail Stemple, Claire Uematsu, Tara Vornberg, Megan Wagner, Caroline Walsh, Emily Wang, Kendall Watkins, Sophia Wells, Lauren Whitehead, Hannah Wilder, Caitlyn Wilks, Kierstin Wolff, Taylor Wood, Jenny Zhang, and Kathryn Zimmerman have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they won this year's Division I State Championship, their second consecutive crown; and 

       WHEREAS,  The achievements and leadership of the Comets are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on them but also on their families, their school, their community, and their coach, Chip Dobson. The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of the coach to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading his team to victory, Coach Dobson has not only helped each runner to develop her talents to the fullest but also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and

       WHEREAS,  With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach for a job well done. The maturity and experience the members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Mason High School girls cross country team on its tremendous 2013 season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Mason High School girls cross country team.
