| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Dena Wuebker on being named the Region IV National Teacher Mentor of the Year for 2011 by the National Association of Agricultural Educators; and |
| WHEREAS, Nominated for this prestigious award by Marie Rhoades, a former student and the agricultural educator and FFA advisor at Miami East High School, Dena Wuebker is one of five teachers in the United States to be recognized as a NAAE National Teacher Mentor of the Year for 2011. In addition, she received the title of Teacher Mentor of the Year for Ohio, and she has been an agricultural educator and FFA advisor at Versailles High School since 1994, mentoring numerous local teachers over the years. She has worked diligently to channel the natural energy and curiosity of young people into meaningful inquiry, and by presenting lessons in an interesting and comprehensible manner, she has consistently inspired her students to excel; and |
| WHEREAS, Dena Wuebker has not only instilled within her students a keen appreciation of the importance of education, but she has also gained the esteem of everyone with whom she has been associated. Diligently committed to ensuring that her students receive the best possible instruction, she has established herself as a truly innovative teacher and mentor, and her noteworthy record of achievement shows the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout her career in the field of education, Dena Wuebker has supported countless students in their scholastic endeavors and has helped to nurture within them a desire for academic excellence. Willingly giving of her time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, she has earned the respect and gratitude of her colleagues, her community, and most importantly, her students; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Dena Wuebker as the Region IV National Teacher Mentor of the Year for 2011 and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dena Wuebker. |
