A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Cougar Robotics team as the 2013 FIRST Tech Challenge World Champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Cougar Robotics team on winning the 2013 FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship; and

       WHEREAS,  The members of the Cougar Robotics team are remarkable young individuals, combining talent and competitive spirit with exceptional knowledge to establish themselves as truly exemplary students. With admirable dedication, members Joey Diamond, Sean Morehart, Nathan Nahhas, and Evan Hollins designed, engineered, and programmed a robot to complete assigned tasks within a time limit, and as a result, they won the Inspire Award at the Ohio State Championship and first place at the Indiana State Championship robot game to qualify for this year's FIRST Tech Challenge World Championships, where they compiled an undefeated record and placed first to claim the title; and 

       WHEREAS,  Through practice and preparation, the members of the Cougar Robotics team have displayed determination and motivation of which they can be proud, and the squad's efforts are truly admirable. The enthusiasm and expertise they have shown in all of their endeavors have earned them the respect and admiration of many; and

       WHEREAS,  The accomplishments of the Cougar Robotics team are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on the members but also on their families, their community, and their advisors. We are certain that the maturity and experience the students have gained through their participation in robotics competitions will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Cougar Robotics team on its success and salute its members and coaches as fine Ohioans; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Cougar Robotics team.
