| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Marty Mendenhall on being selected as a 2013 NAQT National High School Tournament All-Star; and |
| WHEREAS, A student at Olmsted Falls High School, Marty Mendenhall has striven to develop his capabilities, and consequently, he led his team to a twenty-first place finish and was named a Tournament All-Star at this year's National Academic Quiz Tournaments National High School Competition. An intelligent and motivated individual, he has amply demonstrated his ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence and has displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to produce superior results. Through his remarkable efforts, he has set an example worthy of emulation, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With self-discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Marty Mendenhall has striven to increase his knowledge and skills. By his decisive leadership, he has distinguished himself as a conscientious and responsible young man, and we are certain that he will continue to display the same unwavering dedication to excellence for which he has become known; and |
| WHEREAS, Marty Mendenhall's accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family, his teammates, his coach, his school, and his community. He has exhibited a sincere desire to do his best in all of his endeavors so that he might fulfill his goals in the future, and this, coupled with his maturity and initiative, shows his potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Marty Mendenhall as a NAQT National High School Tournament All-Star and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
