| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Gallia Academy High School FFA rural soil judging team on winning first place at the 2012 FFA State Competition; and |
| WHEREAS, Under the leadership of their advisors, the members of the Gallia Academy High School FFA rural soil judging team won the 2012 FFA State Rural Soil Judging Contest and qualified for the 2013 national competition. Students Briggs Shoemaker, Cody Call, Scott Warren, and Chris Elliott have worked diligently to achieve success, and being the top ranked chapter in the state for rural soil judging is a testament to their commitment to this fine organization; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout the school year, the members of the Gallia Academy High School FFA rural soil judging team have shown a sincere desire to fully develop their knowledge and skills so that they might fulfill their goals, and this, coupled with their maturity and initiative, illustrates their potential to become some of tomorrow's leaders. Indeed, they have set an example of excellence that is worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, Through participation in FFA, the members of the Gallia Academy High School FFA rural soil judging team will be better prepared to become productive members of our complex and ever-changing society. The maturity and experience they have gained through their involvement in this program will not only enrich their educational careers but also enable them to make better-informed decisions as they assume the responsibilities of adult citizenship; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Gallia Academy High School FFA rural soil judging team on its state championship and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Gallia Academy High School FFA rural soil judging team. |
