| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School on being named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education; and |
| WHEREAS, This prestigious honor is, indeed, a fitting tribute to Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School, for it was the only Ohio charter school to be designated as a Blue Ribbon School. Honoring elementary and secondary schools in alternate years, the Blue Ribbon Schools Program identifies and nationally recognizes both public and private schools for their excellence in teaching and instruction, student success, leadership, and parental involvement, and selection for this accolade is an achievement of which everyone at HSA Columbus High School can be satisfied; and |
| WHEREAS, Schools provide young people with much more than basic educational skills. Through involvement in the day-to-day events at school as well as in school-sponsored extracurricular activities, students learn the important lessons of cooperation, self-discipline, perseverance, and diligence that will benefit them throughout their lives. At Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School, students are offered a vast array of educational opportunities, and we commend the faculty, administration, and staff whose hard work and dedication have enabled this institution to attain its exemplary status; and |
| WHEREAS, This accomplishment is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School but also on its students, faculty, staff, and administration. These fine professionals have earned the respect and gratitude of the community, and they are truly deserving of high praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School as a National Blue Ribbon School and, in so doing, pay tribute to an outstanding educational facility; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School. |
