A BILL
To authorize the Board of County Commissioners of 1
Knox County to establish the Centerburg Library as 2
a county free public library and, if the authority 3
is exercised, to require the Knox County Court of 4
Common Pleas to appoint a board of library 5
trustees for the library.6


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. Notwithstanding the limitation of section 3375.06 7
of the Revised Code that prohibits a board of county commissioners 8
from establishing a county free public library after January 1, 9
1948, the Board of County Commissioners of Knox County may 10
establish the Centerburg Library in Knox County as a county free 11
public library in accordance with section 3375.06 of the Revised 12
Code. The library shall be under the control and management of a 13
board of library trustees as prescribed in that section. If the 14
Board of County Commissioners of Knox County establishes the 15
Centerburg Library in Knox County as a county free public library, 16
the Knox County Court of Common Pleas shall appoint a board of 17
library trustees in accordance with section 3375.06 of the Revised 18
Code.19

        This section expires one year after its effective date.20
