The Borough of Shrewsbury is located in the northeast section of Monmouth County, consists of approximately 2.3 square miles, and is primarily a residential community.  It is one of the earliest settlements in Monmouth County and is home to several late 18th to early 20th century homes and churches, including the Christ Church and the Allen House, which were both listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.  Over the past 100 years, many New Jersey residents have come to call the Borough of Shrewsbury their home.  Thus, it is fitting and proper for this State to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the Borough of Shrewsbury.
